This is the first song I ever wrote for the squad. A "Duchenne Smile" is a smile with the entire face, it engages both mouth and eye muscles. Some of that muscle movement is involuntary so what this means is that a Duchenne is a genuine smile. You can't fake one. So this is a tune about trying to be genuinely happy rather than putting on a happy face for other people.
